Refund and Returns Policy

We intend to proceed with the Convergence Event in 2021 as we expect to be back at Covid Alert Level 1 well before our time together. However if there is a resurgence of Covid 19 in the community we will be following the Ministry of Health guidelines regarding strategies and levels. The Convergence event can only be run at Covid Alert Level 1.

Earlybird Tickets for the Convergence Event will be on sale from 1st October until 31st October and Standard Tickets will be on sale from 1st November until 30th November. There will be NO ticket sales in December and NO gate sales.

Due to the uncertainty of cancellation due to Covid-19 this year the refund policy is as follows.

Refund Policy 2021

If it becomes clear that we will NOT be at Covid Alert Level 1 by the end of December, a decision wil be made by the 1st December to cancel the Convergence Event. If the event is cancelled by 1st December 2021 a full refund will be provided to all people that have purchased tickets. The estimated cost of a cancellation at this time is $3,000 for deposits paid for the site hire and to cover the costs of growers that have planted specifically for our event.

If a change in Covid Alert Levels was to occur after 1st December 2021 and the Convergence event is cancelled because of this, a refund of 75% of the purchase price will be made. The 25% retained will be used to pay for deposits on the equipment and site hire; and for the fresh and/or perishable food that has been planted specifically for our event. Where possible orders will be placed after 1st December to minimise costs. A last minute cancellation of the event is estimated to cost around $20,000, some of which will be covered by the portion of the ticket price that has been retained.

Refunds

To make the processing of refunds as easy and quick as possible we encourage attendees to pay by credit or debit card. This is processed by Paypal and you do not need a Paypal account to make a payment. Money can be returned to the same card quickly and easily. If you pay by bank transfer we will require your bank account to process refunds to in the event of a cancellation. This may take some time and please remember that all those processing the refunds are volunteers with other things happening in their life.

Cancellation By Attendee

If you are feeling unwell prior to Convergence, please do not attend the event. Contact tickets@convergence.net.nz to request a refund.

If for any other reason you are unable to attend the Convergence Event, you may cancel at anytime. A portion of the ticket price may be held back at the discretion of the ticketing team.
